NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) – The next Bachelorette could be bringing her suitors to Newport.
Producers of the reality show sent a letter to Newport’s City Council, requesting permission to film parts of season 15 at various locations across the city in March.
“I’m probably gonna be doing a little stalking just to kind of see where they go,” said Amanda Saccoccio of Newport.
Locations detailed in the letter include the famous Cliff Walk, dinner at the Black Pearl, and a musical performance at Jane Pickens Theater.
“I’m really excited for them to come here. I think it would be cool! My friends and I are planning to catch them at some point,” said Eleni Kolpak, a freshman at Salve Regina University.
Other spots eyed for filming are venues like Belcourt Castle, Belle Mer, and Eisenhower House. Producers are also looking into locations in Bristol and Providence.
“I know a lot of the places that they’re filming at, so it’ll be interesting to see that on TV,” said Heather Strein of Long Island.
The letter doesn’t say who this year’s Bachelorette will be, but there’s plenty of speculation.
“Caelynn, who was just kicked off, might be the Bachelorette,” said Kolpak.
“If it were to be Khloe Kardashian, I would be pretty excited,” said Saccoccio.
Crews would film in Newport from March 21st to March 31st. The city council is taking up the request during their meeting Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
