FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – Two teenage girls were arrested on armed robbery charges Wednesday afternoon in Fall River.

Police were dispatched to Bay Coast Bank on Troy Street for reports of an armed robbery around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers on scene were informed that a young female suspect wearing a dark blue Patriots sweater and black leggings had presented the bank teller with threatening to “blow everything up and kill everybody” if they did not give her money.

Police said the suspect held her hands tightly as if she were concealing something.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Police were able to piece together the suspect’s path using footage from several cameras in the vicinity of the bank, tracing the registration of an apparent getaway car to a Mulberry Street home.

Officers responded to the Mulberry Street address and located the suspect vehicle in the driveway.

Inside the home, detectives located the robbery suspect, age 14, as well as the unidentified female, 15, seen in the getaway car.

Both individuals were taken into custody, each charged with one count of Armed Robbery.
