Plainville YMCA pool house will not be able to open this summer after fire

PLAINVILE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Plainville YMCA Family Pool Club will not be able to open this summer due to the damage from Saturday’s fire.
The pool was deemed a total loss after the Berry Street building went up in flames.
The fire broke out ahead of Memorial Day weekend, which marks swimming season for many families.
The CEO of Hockomock Area YMCA, Jim Downs, said the pool likely won’t open back up until next June.
Downs said members will receive full refunds on all fees by Friday.
