2 dead after head-on crash in Connecticut

EAST MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (WLNE) — Connecticut State Police are investigating a head-on crash that killed two people in East Middlebury early Sunday morning.

In police documents obtained by ABC 6 News, police detailed a scene where a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse was driving the wrong way down Interstate 84 east near exit 17 just after 3 a.m.

Documents reveal the Mitsubishi, driven by 45-year-old Matthew Marquis of Woodbury, struck a Toyota Prius, driven by 22-year-old Leticia Dourado of Waterbury.

Both drivers succumbed to their injuries they sustained in the crash, police said.

The case remains under investigation.
