North Providence man shot multiple times, killed delivering food in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket police released the identity of the man who was shot and killed late Friday night.

Police said 21-year-old Julian Garcia of North Providence was shot multiple times when walking back to his car after delivering food for a delivery service provider.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Barton and Montgomery streets.

Detectives believe more than one suspect is responsible for the shooting and it was not a random act of violence.
