Providence leaders cut the ribbon on The Studley Building

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Studley Building in Providence has completed renovations.
Gov. Dan McKee, Mayor Brett Smiley, and city leaders cut the ribbon on the historic property on Weybosset Street on Monday.
Paolino Properties made the commercial office building into residences. The Studley is now home to 65 studio and one-bedroom apartments.
City officials said over 20% of the apartments will be workforce housing for middle income Rhode Islanders.
Renovations for The Studley were part of a $101 million affordable housing initiative under the McKee Administration and the Rhode Island Housing Board of Commissioners.
The funding allowed the construction of 1,481 affordable units in 13 towns.
