One dead after construction accident in Brockton

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Brockton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to a fatal construction accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to Brockton police, they responded to the area of Quincy Avenue and Libby Street at 12:04 p.m.

WCVB Channel 5 shared helicopter footage of a Bobcat that apparently tipped forward into a hole in the construction site.

No information regarding the cause of the accident was immediately available.

ABC 6 News reached out to OSHA who said the incident remains under investigation.
