Showers, gusty storm possible later Wednesday

It was a pretty nice Tuesday across the area as morning clouds gave way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon. It was a little humid, but drier air is working in for the overnight.

Watch out for an evening shower but the overnight period will be mainly dry, as will Wednesday morning.

However, active weather promptly returns by the afternoon with showers and thunderstorms – there’s even a small chance for a severe storm or too, which could produce some gusty winds.

And downpours end Wednesday night and we have a nice Thursday ahead of us before the rain threat returns on Friday.

Father’s Day weekend looks to start off a little unsettled with scattered showers on Saturday. There is even a slight chance of a shower on Sunday, but most of the day looks to be okay.
