Providence College celebrates 100 years since first commencement

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence College is celebrating a century since their first-ever commencement ceremony.

The school took to social media, sharing photos from the commencement ceremony and other photos of the graduating class of 1923 and their commencement on June 14.

Officials thanked their alumni for making a lasting impact on their communities and beyond.

“Here’s to more than a century of knowledge, growth and the enduring spirit of the Friar family,” the college posted. “Congratulations to all our graduates past and present.”
