Oil leak at Pawtucket gas station prompts road closure

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Oil spilled onto a road after a leak at a Pawtucket gas station on Thursday morning.

An ABC 6 News crew saw the Public Works Department and fire officials sanding Cedar Street in front of Candeias Sunoco gas station at about 7 a.m.

Police blocked westbound traffic from the Sunoco up to Pine Street by the Shell gas station.

Officials said hydraulic fluid spilled onto the road from a garbage truck.
