Providence man accused of shooting at car on highway

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said Thursday a Providence man was arrested for allegedly being involved in a highway shooting in April.
The shooting happened on April 16 on the Dean Street ramp from Route 6 in Providence.
Police said Kyeme Gallagher shot at another person’s car several times during a road rage altercation. The victim’s car was occupied by four people. No injuries were reported.
Gallagher, police said, was on parole until 2049 on a previous gun charge.
Police said they executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home. There, they seized three guns, including a ghost gun and a large capacity feeding device.
Gallagher was arraigned this week in Providence District Court. He was issued $50,000 surety bail for the gun charges, but was held without bail as a parole violator.
He’s due back in court in September.
