CCRI lifts COVID-19 vaccination requirements for students and staff

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Community College of Rhode Island announced Thursday that it will lift COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Effective July 1 students and employees will no longer need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of enrollment or employment.

Specific groups of students and employees may be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their clinical or external placements, the college said.

The college added that it still strongly recommends all students and staff to stay up to date on vaccinations and boosters.
