More Showers Into the Weekend

Friday starts off with sunshine and comfortable conditions and temperatures near 60. Conditions change for the second half of the day as clouds build in, temperatures warm into the lower-80s and we mix in some Canadian wildfire smoke too. Temps will be cooler along the coast with an afternoon sea breeze. A slow-moving area of low pressure will come through tonight with a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the overnight. Thunderstorms could make for locally heavy areas of rain. This unsettled weather will continue through Saturday and temperatures will be much cooler, topping out in the upper-60s. Expect clouds and showers and the chance of thunderstorms to continue into Saturday night. Father’s Day on Sunday is looking mainly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly in the morning and highs near 70. Dryer conditions are here starting on Monday but temperatures will remain cooler than average, topping out at 70. Tuesday looks like a repeat of Monday. Wednesday is the start of Summer with the solstice at 10:57 am and the weather will be sun-filled and warmer with highs near 75.
