Braga Bridge to close mid-day next week

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced Friday that the Braga Bridge will be closed mid-week for a preliminary survey.

The department said the work will require the temporary closure of the right travel lane on I-195 eastbound on the Braga Bridge between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The bridge closure will allow crews to perform a survey for an upcoming project to perform electrical upgrades.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution, MassDOT said.

The work is also weather dependent has has a rain date for Thursday.
