Soaking showers Saturday, better for dad

Rain has arrived in Southern New England and will continue through the night, with occasional downpours and even thunderstorms.
Heavy rain will continue Saturday morning, before a brief break later in the morning. By the afternoon, more showers will develop and will make outdoor activities difficult.
Showers will lessen Saturday night and most of Father’s Day will be dry. There will be a widely scattered pop up shower or two during the afternoon hours.
Cool but mostly quiet weather remains into next week before a big warmup by week’s end. Summer begins Wednesday at 10:57 AM and will see sun and highs in the 70s.
Thursday will reach into the 80s – just the second time this month at T.F. Green – before making a run at 90 by the end of the week.
Have a great weekend!
