Police help bear navigate through Massachusetts town

COHASSET, Mass. (WLNE) — Police in Cohasset, Massachusetts spent some time helping a bear navigate through town on Monday.

An ABC 6 News viewer shared video of a bear in a Cohasset family’s yard.

The bear gets close to the family dog, which is seen wagging its tail before its owner comes and gets it.

Officials said the black bear made its way through Border Street and South Main Street to Pond Street.

Authorities said the bear was last seen on North Main Street headed towards the RTF and Cedar Street.

Anyone who spots the bear is asked to keep their distance and notify Animal Control at 781-383-1055 ext. 6125.
