1 dead, 1 hospitalized after 2 vans crash head-on in Cranston
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police said one person is dead and one is hospitalized after two vans crashed head-on into one another on Monday night.
Officials said three people in total were involved in the accident on Scituate Avenue, one of those people is uninjured at this time.
Authorities said the crime scene cleanup process will be long as there are multiple oxygen tanks in one of the vans, three of which are leaking.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Cranston Police Department.
No further information was immediately released by officials.
ABC 6 News crews were on the scene at Scituate Avenue where two vans could be seen bearing heavy damage to their front sides.
News crews reported one person being loaded into an ambulance. First responders were also reportedly seen using jaws of life on one of the vehicles.
