Good Night Lights honors memory of pediatric cancer patients
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence community gathered Monday night in honor of two Hasbro Children Hospital patients who recently passed away.
Good Night Lights organizers said the tribute honored Tomorrow Fund children Mackenzie Enos and Thomas Harrington.
The Hot Club was one of multiple places participating in shining lights at the windows at the children’s hospital.
David Holliday-Isom and Leah Stoddard at Hot Club said they do Good Night Lights every night and did it longer Monday night in honor of Enos and Harrington.
“We are a very close family here at Hot Club and we love to do this for the children — we love when they flash back to us — it makes us smile,” Stoddard said.
The Hot Club set off a brief fireworks display to round out their flashlight signaling from across the Providence River.
“We send our love every night,” Holliday-Isom said, emphasizing no matter where they are, they still show their support.
Good Night Lights is held in partnership with Hasbro Children’s Hospital and encourages residents to participate in bringing smiles to the faces of pediatric patients.
