WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health is recommending the closure of two beaches in Warwick for swimming.

The Department of Health said Tuesday that Oakland Beach and Conimicut Beach are temporarily closed because of high bacteria levels.

The DOH said it will continue to monitor and review beach water quality through Labor Day. The status of the beaches could change as new data becomes available.
