Unsettled and Muggy Weekend Ahead

June has sure been very un-June-like! Latest statistics from the National Weather Service are eye-opening! The average temperature for Providence for the month of June so far is 63, which is 5.8 degrees below normal. This year is now in 6th place for the coldest June 1-22 on record. Record coldest June 1-22 period was 1907. Last time it was colder than this year was 1958 when June 1-22 averaged 60.7! Unfortunately, it looks like this grey trend will continue through the next week. Temperatures will be cooler than average for the most part this weekend and beyond. There will also be a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Then there’s the humidity, look for very muggy conditions through the next 7 days as well.
