Roger Williams University announces new President

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) – Roger Williams University has named a new president.

Ioannis Miaoulis was announced Wednesday as the University’s 11th leader.

Miaoulis formerly served as was dean of Tufts’ School of Engineering from 1994 to 2002, and later as the President and Director of the Boston Museum of Science for 16 years, retiring in January.

He will succeed the late Donald Farish who passed away after a sudden and serious illness over the summer.
