Chafee Answers Questions on Taxes, Ukraine Connection

Independent candidate for governor Lincoln Chafee answered questions tonight regarding his admission that he owes back taxes and his connection to a Ukrainian businessman reported to be a mob figure.
A GoLocalProv.com investigation revealed that Chafee is on an advisory board for a foundation in Ukraine headed by billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, who is reputed to be a leading figure in the Ukrainian mob.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press confirmed Thursday night that Chafee owes about $18,000 in taxes on $64,000 of investments made by his now-defunct Senate campaign team between 2004 and 2008.
Chafee answered the media's questions after the debate between the candidates for governor at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston.
