SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — Seekonk police said a 24-year-old man was arrested after shooting at multiple people and cars from his car Thursday.

Police Chief David Enos Jr. said Friday they received a 911 call just before 11 p.m. reporting that a car was fired upon while being chased by a large, dark colored SUV on Newman Avenue.

The victim told officers their rear window was hit by a bullet but they were able to safely get away from the shooter and into Pawtucket.

Police said another 911 call was made at around the same time. This time, someone reported that a parked car on Border Avenue had been “shot up.”

A third call, Enos said, was received at about 11:30 p.m. about the same suspect shooting at an occupied car on Pine Street.

Enos said this call was delayed until after the suspect was arrested.

Multiple officers were dispatched to Border Avenue. One of the officers spotted Joshua Furtado’s call while en route.

Police performed a traffic stop and took the 24-year-old into custody.

Enos said they searched Furtado’s car and found a 22 caliber handgun and multiple spent shell casings.

Police said they also executed a search warrant at his Seekonk home and found multiple ghost guns in various stages of production, including materials and tools for the construction of an AR-15 style rifle.

Furtado faces several charges, including two counts of armed assault to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. He’s  expected to be arraigned Friday.
