Boating advisory to be issued for Narragansett Bay

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Officials with Save The Bay announced Friday that a boating advisory will be in place for Narragansett Bay on Saturday.

Save The Bay said portions of the East Passage of Narragansett Bay between Gould Island and Conanicut, extending to the Pell Newport Bridge will be temporarily closed to water traffic.

The advisory is in place for 6:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. for the Save The Bay Swim.

Vessel traffic is advised to pass on the left side of Jamestown.
