State Police: Juveniles arrested after Brockton carjacking, highway chase

NORTON, Mass. (WLNE) – Massachusetts State Police arrested two men Wednesday following a carjacking in Brockton.

State Police said a 65-year-old Brockton man reported being punched in the face and having his vehicle stolen by two male suspects on Main Street in Brockton on Wednesday morning.

Massachusetts State Police Troopers located the stolen vehicle on Route 24 around 11:45 a.m. and began to pursue the suspects.

The suspects traveled southbound on Route 24, traveling at speeds up to 100 mph, to Route 495, taking Exit 9 into Taunton and continuing on into Norton.

State Police said the suspect vehicle rolled over in the area of Cranberry Lane in Norton and the two suspects attempted to flee on foot.

The suspects, both juveniles, were apprehended by State Troopers and placed under arrest.

The juveniles were transported to the Foxboro State Police barracks and later to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both suspects will face criminal charges.
