Heatwave likely to head our way by the end of the week
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –Kicking off the last week of July, we have some low rain chances tomorrow, but the humidity and heat will be on the rise.
Expect mostly sunny skies with a mix of sun and clouds to move through the day.
As the temps and dew points climb, we will start to see the heat indices creep up. Friday is my day of concern with it feeling like it’s in the 100’s. If you plan on being outdoors, please stay hydrated and make sure to find some shade and take frequent breaks.
This is also a good time to check on your neighbors and the elderly. If you need a place to beat the heat, you can find cooling centers all around town. Local library, recreational centers, shelters, and a variety of businesses open their doors to help people in need of a break from the heat.
