Man drowns at Buttonwoods Beach

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A man drowned at a beach in Warwick on Wednesday evening.

Police Chief Bradford Connor said that a 58-year-old Warwick man died after being pulled from the water at Buttonwoods Beach. His name was not released.

Connor said police are still investigating the incident and that a medical episode has not been ruled out as a cause of death.

No further information was immediately released.
