Motorcyclist flown to hospital in serious Taunton crash

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital after a serious crash in Taunton on Friday morning.

Police said a moped and a GMC Acadia collided just before 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Bay Street and I-495.

Police said the motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man, was brought to the BJ’s parking lot by ambulance. He was then flown by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the SUV, a 47-year-old Carver woman, was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
