Fall River tunnel inspections to close lanes starting Monday

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said that the tunnel on Interstate 195 beneath Fall River City Hall will be inspected this week.

The work will take place Monday to Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning.

MassDOT said that the inspection will  require various lane and shoulder closures on I-195 to provide access to the structures and that at least one lane will remain open at all times.

Drivers should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
