Middletown police search for person responsible for hit-and-run of 19-year-old

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Police in Middletown are looking for the person responsible after an apparent hit-and-run crash left a 19-year-old with serious injuries.

Police said the man was walking on Renfrew Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle just before 10 a.m.

The man was brought to Rhode Island Hospital, where he’s recovering.

Detectives are investigating leads about a man who was driving the suspected vehicle. No further information was released.
