EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of East Providence announced that it is seeking proposals for the purchase or lease the former Oldham School for the development of mixed-use housing and small businesses.

Spokesperson Patricia Resende said the city is seeking proposals that will benefit the community while preserving the historic architectural features of the former school located at 640 Bullocks Point Ave.

“Successful proposals will demonstrate a commitment to the preservation of the exterior architectural features, conformance to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and a clear benefit to the city,” she said.

More information on proposals for the public/private partnership can be found here.
