MA person with St. Ray’s Italy trip tests presumptive positive for coronavirus

The RIDOH is advising the public that a third individual associated with the St. Ray’s Academy trip to Italy has tested presumptive positive for coronavirus.

This individual is a Massachusetts resident and the testing was done by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

This individual was a female in her 20s and is recovering at home.

This individual is considered a presumptive positive case because the result is pending confirmation at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is coordinating the contact tracing for this individual and communicating very closely with RIDOH.

Currently there are four individuals associated with the trip to Italy.

There are three people associated with the school’s trip to Italy who have tested presumptive positive and RIDOH is awaiting test results on a female in her 30s whose test results is pending.
