Post Road airport connector to be closed through Thursday

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced the on and off ramps at the Post Road Airport Connector in Warwick is closed starting today.

The ramps will be closed for milling and paving that will take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Aug. 20, to Aug. 24.’

The following detours will be in place during the work:

  • From Post Road northbound to Interstate 95: follow Post Road north to Coronado Road then to Jefferson Boulevard, and back to the Airport Connector to I-95
  • From Post Road southbound to I-95: Follow Post Road south to Main Avenue then to I-95
  • From Airport Connector East to Post Road: Take the Jefferson Boulevard exit, then follow Jefferson Boulevard northbound to Coronado Road then to Post Road

RIDOT said the closures will not impact traffic to or from the airport.
