Marnie the Dog dies at age 18

LOS ANGELES — Marnie, the 18-year-old rescue dog who rose to fame on Instagram, has passed away “very, very quietly” according to her owner, Shirley Braha.  Marnie was adopted from a Connecticut animal shelter in 2012.  Her love of the camera and sweet, quirky face helped her gain over 1.8 million followers on Instagram in less than a year.

Over the years Marnie has posed with dozens of celebrities, including Katy Perry, Tina Fey, Betty White, James Franco, and Selena Gomez, just to name a few.  Marnie even has a photo book titled, “Marnie the Dog, I’m a book”, that can be found on Amazon.
