PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said that a Providence man was charged for firing a ghost gun though his bedroom window into a neighbor’s apartment last year.

Damien Brosseau, who’s 19-years-old, was charged with one count of possession of a ghost gun and one count of firing in a compact area.

On Nov. 12, 2022, police responded to reports of shots fired on Smith Street.

Two residents of a second floor apartment made the call after hearing a loud noise and discovering a bullet hole in the ceiling and the floor of a bedroom.

Police who performed a sweep of the third floor alleged that they found a Polymer80 9mm ghost gun pistol in Brosseau’s bedroom next to a bullet hole in the floor.

Brosseau is scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on Nov. 9.
