MassDOT announces roadwork will impact Route 24 northbound in Freetown

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that roadwork will be done on Route 24 on Thursday and will impact the flow of traffic.

According to MassDOT, the work will be done on the on-ramp from Innovation Way to Route 24 northbound in Freetown on September 7 and 8, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

During the work, the on-ramp will be closed. Massachusetts State Police will assist in maintaining traffic.

Officials said drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution.

All work is expected to conclude by 5 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.
