Dog with health issues stolen from Providence animal shelter

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) is alerting the public that one of its sheltered dogs with health issues was stolen from itsfacility.

Around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday PARL staff noticed that 10-year-old Jasper was missing.

Shortly after the staff noticed evidence of a break-in at two different outside areas of the building on Elbow Street.

“Jasper was undergoing treatment for some health issues and it is imperative that he receive proper follow up and prescribed care,” a Facebook post said. 

PARL said they are working closely with Providence Police in order to help find Jasper.

PARL said they’re concerned for Jasper’s safety and ask anyone that has any information to contact Providence Police immediately at 401-272-3121.
