Heat and humidity dominate through Friday
We’re starting in the 70s today, well above our average high in the upper-50s. As we continue to bring in warm air from the south, temperatures will likely top out in the mid-80s inland and with the high humidity, it will feel closer to 90. As a result, the Heat Advisory has been extended through 8pm tonight. This afternoon and evening we have a slight chance of a stray shower, but most will see it as a dry day. The weekend ahead will also be very humid and temperatures will top out in the lower-80s. Both weekend days will have early patches of fog and a chance of afternoon/ evening showers and thunderstorms. The chance of showers on Saturday is slight, only 20%, while Sunday will be 40%. Cooler temperatures with highs in the 70s arrive on Monday, but it will be very humid through most of the week ahead.
