Providence man facing child molestation charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence Grand Jury returned an indictment Tuesday, charging a Providence man with child molestation.

According to charging documents, Manuel Garcia Dela Cruz, 38, of Providence, was charged with one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation.

Officials said the alleged acts occurred in Providence on dates between March 5, 2013, and March 5, 2022.

The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation into the incident.

Cruz is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 4, 2023 in Providence County Superior Court.
