Twin River, Tiverton casinos ordered to extend mandatory closure
The mandatory closure will continue to be assessed.

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) – Twin River, Tiverton casinos have been ordered to extend their temporary closure.
In a statement from Marc Crisafulli, President of Twin River Casino Hotel and Tiverton Casino Hotel,
“We have been informed by the Rhode Island Department of Revenue, Lottery Division that the temporary closure of Twin River Casino Hotel and Tiverton Casino Hotel has been extended for an additional week through March 27, 2020. We sincerely regret any inconvenience to our customers, but, the State’s continued efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus are critically important. We believe our temporary closure for an additional week is necessary to help ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers, and all residents of Rhode Island.
As we announced last week, we have begun to work diligently to implement additional protective measures for our customers upon re-opening. We also remain in constant contact with our State regulators on our progress. We will continue to keep you apprised of any updates relative to the temporary closure of the two Twin River properties in Rhode Island. Thank you.”
