Man injured in late-night shooting in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police said a man was hospitalized after he was shot late Tuesday night.

According to police, around 11 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Durfee Court and Linden Street.

First responders said they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

No further information was released and the shooting remains under investigation.
