Sun-filled Thursday
Do you remember… a finer start to a Thursday? We will continue to chase the clouds away this 21st day of September. High pressure keeps hold of our weather pattern bringing another day full of sunshine and after a chilly start, we will see temperatures recover into the lower-70s. Skies will remain clear tonight and sunshine will start off Friday too with chilly lows once again near 50. Our attention will be drawn to the Carolina coast where a developing storm is taking shape. This storm will slowly roll up the coast through the day on Friday, increasing clouds locally, but we will remain dry. Rain will develop overnight Friday into Saturday from south to north. The rain will become heavy at times, leading to urban and poor drainage flooding as well as the potential of flooding small streams and creeks. The rain holds through Saturday night and tapers to showers through the day on Saturday. Both weekend days will top out in the 60s. Sunshine returns for Monday next week.
