Woonsocket woman charged with DUI after wrong way crash.

WOONSOCKET, R.I (WLNE) – Police arrest a woman on DUI charges after they say she caused a head on crash Friday night. 

According to Woonsocket police, 41-year-old Woonsocket native Christine Buonagurio was driving the wrong way on 127 Social Street, which is a one-way lane. 

She collided with another vehicle head-on, causing significant damage to both vehicles.  The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Buonagurio continued driving to flee the scene and ran into a utility pole down the street. 

She was arrested and is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and DUI.
