Wet Weekend Ahead

It’s the last day of Summer in Southern New England and Mother Nature is sending Summer out with a perfect day. Look for a good dose of sunshine with increasing high level clouds and seasonable temperatures topping out near 70. Mostly cloudy skies will bein place tonight but we should remain dry until Saturday. Overnight lows will bottom out at 54 to start Saturday and clouds will already be in place. The Autumnal Equinox will be an early one at 2:50 am Saturday. Rain will develop from south to north Saturday morning and will occasionally be heavy at times. We have the potential to have up to 3/4 inch of rain in the bucket by the end of the day. Temperatures will be much cooler this weekend with highs near 61 Saturday and 65 on Sunday. Sunday will be cloudy with a chance of showers and this unsettled weather will continue into Monday as well. Once we get to Tuesday, we will see mostly sunny skies and cooler than average highs in the 60s through the remainder of the workweek.
