Freetown police search for fleeing person moves to woods
FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — The search for a person with active warrants who fled from police has moved to a different area.
The Freetown Police Department said it was conducting an operation on Chace Road and Marie’s Way in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant.
ABC 6 News crews on scene report that police have now moved there search about a mile away to the woods off of Park Lane.
This is the same area where a woman was allegedly killed by her live-in boyfriend on Tuesday.

In a Facebook post Freetown police said it is working with “various mutual aid agencies and the Massachusetts State Police Airwing” to serve the warrant against a fleeing individual.
“For public safety, a secure perimeter has been established, and we want to reassure the community that there is no immediate danger to residents,” Lt. Benjamin Levesque said.
