Central Falls, Attleboro police say robberies appear connected

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — The Central Falls Police Department said a robbery that occurred on Wednesday may be connected to a similar incident that occurred in Attleboro the same day.

Capt. Craig Viens said that the Speed Pay Food Mart on Lonsdale Avenue was robbed by an armed individual on Wednesday.

“This robbery does appear to be similar to the one that occurred in Attleboro prior,” Viens said.

Attleboro police said that a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint around 10 p.m. by a “Black man wearing a hoodie, a mask, and gloves.”

Viens added that Central Falls police are working alongside the Attleboro department on the case.
