Fall River hosts Lewis Howard Latimer Memorial Program

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of Fall River hosted an unveiling of the headstone of Lewis Howard Latimer in Oak Grove Cemetery on Saturday.
Latimer was a draftsman and inventor credited with designing the manufacturing process for the carbon filaments used in light bulbs.
The event was hosted by the Lewis Latimer Fellowship Program and featured remarks remarks from Mayor Paul Coogan as well as a releasing of the doves.
