Man shot, killed in Central Falls

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was killed after being shot in Central Falls on Saturday night.

Central Falls Police Capt. Craig Viens said that a shooting was reported in the area of Dexter Street and Sumner Avenue around 9:20 p.m.

Viens said that when officers arrived at the scene, they found a Hispanic man in his late twenties suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man later died on scene.

Viens added that the shooting is under investigation and did not appear to be a random act.
