PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island leaders will cut the ribbon on a new multi-use off-road path along the Woonasquatucket River on Monday afternoon.

Gov. Dan McKee, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, and other officials will officially open the new path at 555 Harris Ave. at 1:30 p.m.

“This new multi-use trail should serve as a model for how we can revitalize our green spaces to connect our neighborhoods and make Providence a more resilient city,” Smiley said.
