Motorcyclist seriously injured after crash on Route 140 in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist is seriously injured after a crash between their bike and an SUV on Route 140 in New Bedford on Wednesday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, troopers responded to the area of the Hathaway Road exit after the crash happened. Bristol County Detectives also assisted in the investigation.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the scene was cleared just before 7 p.m.
